Dupuytren’s contracture is a hand deformity in which the connective tissues under the palms contract and tighten, pulling the fingers into a bent position. Dr. Kaplan describes a nonsurgical solution to treat the disease by injecting medication into the diseased tissues, allowing the fingers to function freely again.
